We are currenlty in the test phase of migrating to Exchange. Recently, a couple of us were testing various settings and created a new Managed Content Setting that marked older mail items as "Past Retention Limits". As you know, this set the messages that fit the criteria as expired and they are now grayed out in Outlook. After realizing this setting was not right for our needs, we turned it off / deleted it. Unfortunately fromthe end user / Outlook perspective, the damage is already done and the "expired" messages remain marked as expired. Does anyone know of way that I can remove the "past retention limits" tag from the messages in Exchange. I'm hoping there's a simple PowerShell command I can run. I realize I can remove the "expired" status in Outlook, but this has to be done one message at a time (as far as I can tell), which is possible but not practicle. Some of our test users have a couple hundred messages marked as expired now. Any help is appreciated.

Hi,I have simulated the issue on my lab, and find the PR_EXPIRY_TIME attribute which controls this behavior. After removing this attribute, the email is back.Maybe the script can take care this issue in bulk. Unfortunately, it is beyond what we can do in the forum as the nature of forum support.
